mega-update
I was going to prepare a long post, filled with all of my excuses for why I haven't had time to update cheesygrits. However, if you know me, well, then you know what my summer has been like. In between research, moving, and training I managed to go on a few phenomenal trips. I made it out to Zion twice. On the first trip I had all sorts of adventures including a side trip, where Jeff, Shannon and I hiked rim-to-rim of the Grand Canyon in one. In the second trip I managed to tick off the Subway in Zion, a must-do hike with Linda (as seen before on
snake dike). Please see the
Zion photos!Also, this summer I lucked out when my cousin Mary finally came out west for a visit. We went rock climbing in Santa Barbara and hiking in Yosemite. I probably posted too many pictures of the same scene, but its hard to edit pictures involving stellar climbing or beautiful granite. Go see what
adventures Mary and I had.
Last, but certainly not least in this mega-update, I was fortunate enough to have some friends hiking the John Muir Trail. Now the good fortune comes in because they allowed me to be their food resupplier, and I was then forced to backpack for a few days along the trail. Also, this trip was momentous because it was Mikey's first backpacking trip ever! Check out photos from my
